HELM

HELM is a yacht charter company that provides sailing experiences to places all over the world. They offer everything from bareboat charters to fully crewed yachts and needed a new digital platform to show, sell and manage all of that.

HELM’s existing platform was outdated and lacked good UX. It was difficult to browse yachts, check availability and customize trips, which lead to user drop-offs. To fix that, their team needed a new platform consisting of website and two web apps - one for users, second for brokers managing the back-end.

My team mapped out existing platform, prepared new structure and plan of work. Key features include: advanced search, automated and manual bookings, yacht page with real-time availability and simple forms. To drive conversion up, design guides to variety of yachts, destinations and services. Launch was a success! Client saw surge in revenue, user count and rest of the metrics. It led to more fundings for product’s growth.

I led the product design for customer app and developed the design system for it. I also helped as a supporting designer on workshops, website & broker app and oversaw the visual direction of the brand.
