CHALLENGE After introducing fairly standard “Wrapped” concept in previous year, for 2025 edition client wanted something that would really stand out from the crowd. After brainstorming new, bold direction on workshops, we set out to flush users with a wave of nostalgia that turns data and stats into a fun, interactive experience.
SOLUTION I built a hybrid emulation of retro, SaneBox-themed Windows OS’s (mainly 98) with custom “.exe” style launcher. By double clicking on it users will open up imaginary SaneBox program containing the whole “Wrapped” experience. There’s a lot of details apart from that - hidden easter eggs (remember Clippy?), music and UI sounds, retro animations, even a fake system crash, just like the old times...
MY ROLE I soloed the whole thing - led the product design for app and even built pixel-flavored little design system for it. I also ran workshops and oversaw the visual direction.
